Paschalis Loucaides, formerly of Carluccio’s, Giraffe and Tesco Family Dining, has launched a new burger concept called Cut & Grind.

Loucaides, who spent three years as head of marketing at Carluccio’s and over a year and a half as marketing director at Tesco Family Dining, has secured a site at Urbanest’s 669-bed King’s Cross student accommodation scheme close to Google’s new campus for the first site under the new concept.

The concept, which has been designed to carry a retro aesthetic with a modern twist and even has a special chef’s table, has signed on a 15-year lease for the site.

Loucaides said: “We are delighted to be launching at Urbanest, not simply because it puts us at the heart of King’s Cross, but because of our shared love of great design and of offering a premium service.”
