Tina English has stepped down as managing director of Bumpkin, the Ignite Group-owned four-strong restaurant chain, M&C Report has learnt.

English, who took up the post in May 2012, was formerly commercial director of Ping Pong, group marketing director of City Centre Restaurants (now The Restaurant Group) and commercial director of Paramount Restaurants.

Ignite is currently in the process of finding her replacement.

It is thought that English, who replaced Jason Myers at Bumpkin, is set to return to the sector in a new role later this year.

Ignite currently operates four Bumpkin restaurants in Chelsea, Notting Hill, South Kensington and at Westfield Stratford.

It previously said it was looking to expand the brand to 20 sites across the UK within the next five years.
