Frank Dowling, the owner of Inc Group, the London-based group, has set up a sister company to oversee the launch of new restaurant and bar ventures, such as its upcoming Far Rockaway site in Shoreditch.

The new group Madison is named after the restaurant, bar and café, Dowling launch on the roof of One New Change, at the end of 2010.

It is thought that the group is close to securing a third site in London for the new venture with an opening mooted for later this year.

Far Rockaway will open this September on the former Elbow Rooms site and will be a full-scale style bar with a “strong casual dining and live sport and entertainment mix”. Anticipated turnover for the site is anticipated to reach £65,000 - £70,000 per week

Inc Group has been consolidating its Greenwich-focused estate over the last year, disposing of four sites in the borough to leave it with an eight-strong chain.

It sold the Greenwich Tavern to a private owner, its Great British Fish & Chip Shop, its Bar du Musee for conversion to a Jamie’s Italian, and the Coach & Horses to Broken Foot Inns.
