Doughnut Time has lined up a new site near Chancery Lane tube station. The operator has taken the former Charles Tyrwhitt retail unit at 307-308 High Holborn, for an imminent opening.

The operator opened its latest site in July at 55 Borough High Street, opposite the market, which followed the opening of a permanent site in Upper Street Islington in May and a kiosk site – in a 1950s vintage Airstream trailer – at Finsbury Avenue Square, in April.

The company said at the time that it had agreements in place to open a further five sites over the coming months.

Tom Anderson, Doughnut Time’s owner, said: “We are constantly on the look-out for new permanent sites but also pop-up locations which are proving to be an effective model for us too.

“Working in partnership with landlords we are able to put pop-ups in place quickly and easily which help fills empty sites for landlords, whilst at the same time enables us to assess the profitability of the store location before entering into any longer-term agreements. It’s a win-win.”

Doughnut Time currently operates from 14 locations, from a mix of permanent and kiosk-style units.
