Designer Tom Dixon is to partner Assaf Granit, of The Palomar and The Barbary restaurants in London, and Balagan in Paris, to open a new restaurant on Granary Square in King’s Cross.

It is thought that The Coal Office Restaurant, which will be housed next to Dixon’s new offices, will be a Mediterranean/middle-eastern inspired, all-day dining restaurant with 360-degree views over Granary Square and newly regenerated parts of London.

The160-cover restaurant will also feature a roof top terrace, outside dining area and an open kitchen layout throughout three floors.

A number of operators have been linked with the Coal Drops Yard scheme including Steve Parle, the Sethi family, Columbo Group and the team behind Padella.
