Dishoom, the Bombay café concept, has appointed Andrew O’Callaghan, formerly of Harris + Hoole, as its new head of people, MCA understands.

O’Callaghan joins the four-strong group, which will make its debut outside London this winter when it opens in Edinburgh, after three years at Harris + Hoole, including over a year as its head of people.

Caffe Nero acquired the Harris + Hoole business from Tesco earlier this year.

Previous to Harris + Hoole, O’Callaghan had stints at HJ Heinz and Pernod Ricard UK.

The Bombay café concept will launch its first site outside London in Edinburgh’s St Andrew Square.

The three-storey restaurant will have an open kitchen on the ground floor, a first floor dining room and a basement bar and dining space.
