New Delhi-based restaurant operator Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., is planning a major expansion push over the next three years as part of a c£20m investment, which will include it launching in the UK.

Azure Hospitality, which is backed by Goldman Sachs and Max Ventures, currently operates 35 restaurants across six brands in India. It plans to expand further in select Indian cities and in the UK.

Rahul Khanna, co-founder, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, told the Hindu Times: “We are planning to add 15 to 25 restaurants each year. Some of them will be on franchise basis. Besides, we are also entering London and Manchester this year. We are planning to create new brands through organic way and by way of acquisitions,”

It concepts comprise – Mamagoto, which is a pan Asian casual dining restaurant; Rollmall and Speedy Chow which are QSR formats; Dhaba by Claridges; Mamapaati; and Sly Story’s, which is a new offering.

Khanna said: “We plan to take Mamagoto and Dhaba by Claridges to university towns like Cardiff and Manchester in the UK, where cuisine options are limited and there is a significant Indian population.
