The Fable restaurant in London’s Holborne was named the most Stylish Dining Experience by Hilden, Leeds’s Gaucho and The Yorkshire Meatball Co. were named as finalists in the Hilden Style Awards.
The Fable, part of the Drake & Morgan group, is a “magically designed and well thought out eatery” in central London it was recognised for its “phenomenal” attention to detail that spreads across three themed-floors. This includes flowers sprouting from a bathtub, plants around the walls, a couch made of books, fairy-tale themed wallpaper and a crowned unicorn.
The Yorkshire Meatball Co. in Harrogate is the country’s only restaurant with a menu made up entirely from meat, fish and veggie-balls that come in 180 combinations. The quirky restaurant design features a Royal Mail post box and light fittings made from colanders and cheese graters.
Argentinian steakhouse Gaucho was also commended for the contrast between its leather and cow hide decorations next to chandeliers and a modern bar area.
