Cote Restaurants, the French bistro chain run by Andy Bassadone and owned by Richard Caring, to open in London’s Islington, after securing a new lease on the Ignite Group’s former Playtime bar unit.
The company is set to open the new restaurant, which will be its 15th in the capital and 29th in total, before the end of the year.
Ignite Group, the owner of the Bumpkin and Eclipse brands, surrendered the lease on the site back to the landlord.

The chain is also thought to in talks to open in a new development in Esher in Surrey, as it nears operating a 30-string estate before the end of the year.
The French brasserie chain is thought to be eyeing a site in the Brunswick Shopping Centre in Bloomsbury, London. Outside of the capital, it continues to target affluent towns and cities like Canterbury, Chelmsford, Cheltenham, Exeter, Marlow, Oxford, Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays), Winchester and Windsor.
