Cote won Restaurant Operator of the year (over 20 sites) at the R200 awards last night with Dishoom picking up two awards and PizzaExpress founder Peter Boizot winning the lifetime achievement gong.

The awards, run by M&C’s sister title Rsetaurant Magazine, saw Hawksmoor win best Restaurant Operator (under 20 sites) while New World Trading Company was named Pub Company of the Year.

All-day Indian café concept Dishoom won Opening of the Year for its King’s Cross site as well as Most Effective Restaurant Design for the same site.

Leon was named Best Value Restaurant Operator (over 20 sites) while Franco Manca took the award for the under 20 sites category.

Bill’s won the title of Best Family Restaurant Operator.

Best New Scaleable Concept went to the Ivy Market Grill and Best Restaurant Drinks Offer was won by Vinoteca.
