Cote, the French brasserie chain backed by CBPE, is looking to open up to 15 new sites across the UK this year taking its estate past the 70-restaurant mark.

The 57-strong group, which previously opened c10-12 sites a year, has already secured a strong pipeline of sites for the next 12 months and has further strengthened that with the completion of a deal to open in Dorking.

The company, which will open in Newbury later this month, has secured a site in the town St Martin’s Walk Shopping Centre despite some local opposition for an opening around the end of March.

Just before Christmas, the group secured sites in Cirencester, Fulham Broadway and Norwich.

The company, which opened in Liverpool and Cardiff before the end of last year, has also secured the former Moss Bros on Winchester high street and the unit at 43-45 High Street, Chislehurst for openings next March.

It recently secured a site in Montpelier Street, Cheltenham, while a further site is scheduled to open in first half of this year in Cobham.

It has also secured sites in Glasgow and Harrogate for openings later in the year.
