Cote, the BC Partners-backed group, has closed its Jackson & Rye site in Kingston’s Riverside scheme.

MCA understands that the company, which operates five further sites under the brand, has handed the site back to the landlord. It opened the sites alongside Busaba Eathai, Bill’s and CAU in the scheme in 2016.

The group recently closed its eponymous site in Hale, Cheshire, less than a year after opening it following a £1m investment.

It secured a further flagship site in London, at Royal Festival Hall.

The company, which operates 93 sites under its eponymous brand, will open its first Cote restaurant of 2018, before the end of March on the Caffe Vergnano 1882 unit on the South Bank.

The group, which recently launched a new loyalty scheme, recently opened in Newcastle and Harpenden.
