Cote, the BC Partners-backed group, has appointed Ruth Jackson, formerly of Whitbread, as its new people director, MCA understands.
Jackson joins the c80-strong group after 12 years with Whitbread, including the last year and a half as its head of communications and engagement – leading on the group’s Premier Inn brand.
She was head of HR for the budget hotel chain for nearly three years.
Earlier this year, Cote strengthened its pipeline in the north west by securing a site in Chester.
The 80-strong group is believed to have secured the unit next to Carluccio’s in Chester’s Bridge Street for an opening in late January next year.
The company is also set to open in Hale, but has recently pulled out of opening at the upcoming Victoria Gate scheme in Leeds.
The group, which also operates the Jackson & Rye and Limeyard formats, opened the eightieth site under its eponymous brand in Chelmsford in July.
