Coco di Mama, the London-based quick-service Italian concept, is eyeing steady growth in the capital and is believed to be in talks to secure its fourth site in the City.

The concept, which is led by life-long friends Daniel Land, and Jeremy Sanders and backed by amongst others Sir Stuart Rose, the former executive chairman of Marks & Spencer and restaurant entrepreneur Arjun Waney, is understood to be achieving average weekly sales in excess of £20k across its three current sites.

It hopes to open its fourth site this autumn. It hopes to exchange on a site in the east of the City this week.

The group, which is chaired by Rose, opened its third site earlier this year at the former Thorntons unit in Queens Head Passage, off Paternoster Square. It opened its second site in London Wall last summer,

The company, which made its debut in Fleet Street, offers an all-day menu featuring freshly prepared pasta accompanied by a range of home made sauces, priced between £3.70 and £4.90.

Its revenue is split three ways, a third from hot food, a third from cold food and a thiord frtom coffee.

The business has also worked with award-winning independent roaster Climpson & Sons, to develop a signature blend called The Baron for the chain.
