London-based salad and healthy food to go operator Chop’d has confirmed its 10th site in the City at Moorgate’s City Point to open in December.

The grab and go store will cater to office workers looking for a fast and healthy breakfast and lunch at the 450sq ft store.

Breakfast will be available from 7am including porridge and home-made muesli as well as salads, stews and soups for lunch and dinner.

Eddie Holmes, managing director of Chop’d, told M&C Report in August that the group was eyeing up to three openings in the City before the end of this year before branching outside the capital.

In June the group secured £2m in funding from Calculus Capital in exchange for a 40% stake in the business to grow to at least 30 sites in the next five years.

Of the new store, Holmes said: “We’re very excited about opening in Moorgate. Many of our sites, including Canary Wharf and St Paul’s, are in the business hubs of London and doing very well. Customers in these areas want something quick and accessible whilst not sacrificing on quality, and we think Chop’d salads, soups and stews help keep London fuelled!”
