Soho House has lined up a further site for its Chicken Shop concept in St John’s Wood, M&C understands.
The group, which earlier this year set up a new joint venture called Rollout Restaurants to oversee the expansion of its restaurant concepts, is understood to have secured the former Tino’s site in Allitsen Road NW8 for an opening early next year.
Rollout Restaurants, which is led by Alex Dawson, recently opened its sixth UK Chicken Shop in Crouch End. And plans to make the brand the focus of its expansion plans going forward. It also operates a Chicken Shop at its House in Chicago.
Dawson told M&C earlier this year that Chicken Shop would make up “50% to 60%” of the group’s openings going forward. It plans to open 10 sites in total across its restaurant brands a year.
Dawson, formerly of Greene King and Beds and Bars, was appointed to head up the roll out of the company’s restaurant brands, including Dirty Burger, Pizza East and Chicken Shop. Earlier this year, Soho House sold a 50% stake in its restaurant business to a private partner.
Dawson that he first task was to bring some structure to the group’s restaurant operation and look at how the concepts could evolve to aid their respective rollouts.
He told M&C that the company had a strong pipeline in place in regards to openings for both 2016 and 2017.
The group is currently looking for a site acquisitions director to aid the expansion of the brands.
