Cereal Killer Café, the quirky Shoreditch café, is opening its second London venue in Camden this month while considering options to franchise the brand internationally.

The new 1,000sq ft site will be at the Camden Stables serving breakfast cereal and cereal based dishes between 9.30 and 7.30 each day with the option of takeaway for the first time.

The first café, which opened on Shoreditch’s Brick Lane in December 2014, was founded by brothers Alan and Gary Keery who wanted to share their passion for retro cereals.

The menu includes cereal-based cocktails made with a choice of flavoured milks and toppings and a choice of more than 120 cereals.

The brothers are currently in talks with franchise partners from a number of major cities around the world to develop a franchise model after receiving interest from people wanting to introduce the concept internationally.

At the Shoreditch site the majority of customers are tourists intrigued by the novel café and want to bring it home.

As well as opening new sites the Keery brothers are writing the Cereal Killer Book, which is expected to be published in time for Christmas.

Since the original cafe was opened a number of copy cat cafes have sprung up in the UK including Moo’d, which opened in Leeds in February followed by The Cereal Bar in Kingston-upon-Thames in March, and not one but two cereal offenders have opened their doors in Manchester.
