CAU, the casual dining steakhouse concept, is putting in place a pipeline of new sites, which will see the brand open its first sites in the north and grow to up to 17 sites over the next 18 months, M&C Report understands.
The group, which will open its fifth site in the UK in Kingston next month, will open in Bristol this summer and plans to add a further three restaurants to its estate by the end of the year, including a further London opening.
Graham Hall, operations director, told M&C Report that the company was already in talks on seven sites for its 2015 pipeline, including two sites in the North West.
Hall said that the company still believed the concept had the potential to grow to up to 40 sites in the UK, with immediate target locations including Bath, Oxford, Cardiff and St Albans, and in the longer term, Leeds and Newcastle.
He said: “The foundations are in place now for us to really push the brand forward. The estate is in growth and our mature sites are consistently in growth, with both Guildford and Cambridge up year-on-year. We are continuing to evolve the offer and are confident that we can now take it to new locations not just in the south of the country but to the Midlands and beyond.”
