Carluccio’s, the all-day Italian café chain led by Simon Kossoff, has secured a unit at the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership scheme, the joint venture between Legal & General Property and Schroder Property.

It will join Pizza Express, Zizzi and Nando’s at the development, which is set to come online in 2015.

It is thought that TRG is also close to securing a unit for its Coast to Coast brand.

The restaurants will be located in the new Northern Retail area of the town centre, adjacent to the cinema. Cineworld has open to a 12-screen, 41,500sq ft cinema at the scheme.

CBRE and Lunson Mitchenall advised on the lettings

Carluccio’s recently secured planning permission to open a site in Harrogate next spring.

The company, that hopes to open 10 sites in its current financial year, has been in protracted talks to open in the former Optical Express building on the town’s Station Square after the local council had initial refused it permission to open on the site.

The group has already lined up a number of new openings including a site at Heathrow’s Terminal 4.

The 76-strong group, which recently acquired former Fire & Stone in Gunwharf Quay, Portsmouth, is also believed to have lined up a second opening in Birmingham and its first in Shrewsbury.
