Carluccio’s is expanding in the Republic of Ireland with its second Dublin site due to open in April in the south Dublin suburb of Glasthule in Dun Laoghaire.

The 3,200sq ft, 88-cover restaurant is in the seaside village of Glasthule to offer a combination of an all-day Italian restaurant, food shop and deli, making it the ideal destination for breakfast, coffee and pastries, lunches, wine and retail space.

The company opened its first Irish site in central Dublin on Dawson Street that was previously run under franchise agreement which Carluccio’s bought back the rights to because the franchisee was unable to fulfil the expansion targets for Ireland.

Simon Kossoff, chairman of Carluccio’s, says: “We have been keen to open a second site in Dublin for a while now and are delighted to have finally found the right site for us.”
