Richard Caring, the serial restaurant sector investor, is believed to have secured the former Henry J Beans site in London’s Chelsea, M&C Report understands.

It is thought that the King’s Road site’s former operator Kornicis surrendered the lease on the unit, which has now been picked up by the Bill’s, Jackson & Rye and Grillshack backer for as-yet-unnamed project.

Kornicis currently operates two further Henry J Beans sites in the UK in Manchester’s The Printworks and in Wimbledon. It also operates the Jamie’s Wine Bar and Smollensky’s brands.

Caring, who also owns Caprice Holdings, is set to launch Ivy Café in Covent Garden.

Earlier this year, he also secured the NatWest Bank site at 1/4 Berkeley Square for as-yet unnamed restaurant project.

Davis Coffer Lyons is believed to have acted on the Chelsea deal.
