Paramount Fine Foods, the fastest-growing Middle-Eastern food chain in Canada, is looking to launch in the UK, MCA understands.

The company, which operates 60 sites across Canada, the US and in the Middle East, is believed to have appointed property agents TK Retail to seek sites in central London for its entry into the UK.

It is understood have signed an agreement to open up to 20 sites in the UK.

Led by president and chief executive Mohamad Fakih, the group currently operates four major brands - Paramount Fine Foods, Paramount Butcher Shop, Yalla Paramount and Fresh East.

It also operates the Paramount Lebanese Kitchen (PLK), which is a fledgling quick-serve concept.

The majority of the group’s sites are based in Canada, but also has sites in the US, Lebanon and Pakistan, with opening lined up for New York and the Ivory Coast.
