Cafe Pushkin, the high-end restaurant and bakery concept led by Andrey Dellos, is understood to be the latest Russian-backed business to be eyeing a launch in London.

The company, which operates sites in Moscow, Paris and New York, is understood to be in talks to acquire the former Ian Scott & Co office at 20 Berkeley Street in Mayfair for the launch of smaller version of its restaurant, which features a retail bakery counter.

It is believed to be close to securing a 2,500sq ft ground floor unit plus basement at the property.

The original Café Pushkin in Moscow consists of three main halls on three levels. It launched Brasserie Pushking last year in New York.

Bocconcino, the high-end pizzeria concept led by Moscow restaurateur Mikhail Gokhner, is set to make its debut in the UK later this year at 19 Berkeley Street, Mayfair, subject to planning permission.

Seb Howard at CBRE is understood to have advised on the deal.
