Byron, the premium burger restaurant group, has secured its first site in Leeds, with an opening set for the end of next month, M&C Report understands.

The 41-strong group, which opened recently in Shoreditch, has taken a unit in the city’s Albion Place, its second in Yorkshire after opening in York earlier this month.

It is set to open its next site in Clapham Common on 23 May, with further openings this summer lined up in Exeter and on The Strand.

The Hutton Collins-backed group currently operates 34 sites in the capital, plus seven across the UK.

It has also secured a further unit in Chelmsford for an opening next year and is believed to be in talks on a unit in Bristol plus a further site in the capital.
