Busaba Eathai, the casual-dining Thai chain, has appointed Oliver Coleshill as its new head of people, M&C Report understands.

Coleshill joins the 10-strong group after 20 months as head of training and development at Cote. Prior to this, he spent seven years as head of HR and training at Benugo.

He joins Busaba as it looks open in excess of 20 sites over the next three years to bring its estate to more than 30.

The group is currently preparing to open its first overseas site in Dubai in November.

Speaking at M&C Report’s Restaurant Conference last month, chief executive Jason Myers, said the company would trial how the format works outside of its current London strong hold.

“Everything we are trying and testing to get ready. 2015 is about making all the pieces come together. We can expand by a number that we are comfortable with and excited about on its own.”

Myers said this includes testing whether the Busaba Eathai format will work well in small towns.
