John Burton Race’s The New Angel restaurant in Devon is among 17 new one-star restaurants in the latest Michelin guide.
The restaurant, which is the subject of a Channel 4 series, opened last June, specialising in fresh local produce. Burton Race held two Michelin stars at his eponymous restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in London.
Other restaurants to pick up their first stars include Alan Yau’s Yauatcha, Gary Rhodes’ Rhodes Twenty Four and The Box Tree in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
