Burger & Lobster, the Goodman-owned London-based group, has signed a deal with Global Hospitality Asset Management (GHAM) to open its first site in the Middle East this autumn in Dubai, M&C understands.

GHAM is the current franchise partner in the UAE for the Blue Marlin and Bistrot Bagatelle concepts.

B&L, which is lining up further openings in the UK in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and London’s Holborn and Canary Wharf, recently opened its first franchise site in Stockholm and as previously reported by M&C has signed deals to open in a number of Middle East territories over the next few years.

The company has also promoted Simon King, formerly of M&B, from director of operations to UK managing director.

The group opened its latest site under its core brand earlier this summer on the former Pacific Oriental site in Threadneedle Street.

It also recently launched Smack Deli a takeaway format in Soho’s Dean Street.
