Bocconcino, the high-end pizzeria concept led by Moscow restaurateur Mikhail Gokhner, is to make its debut in the UK later this year after securing a site in Mayfair, M&C Report understands.
The company, which currently operates four sites in Moscow, is currently renovating c5,000sq ft of the ground and lower ground floor of 19 Berkeley Street.
The opening is scheduled for this Christmas
The first Bocconcino restaurant was opened at Strastnoy Boulevard in Moscow in 2006.
It is thought that a number of Russian investors are currently looking at acquiring 20 Berkeley Street for a further restaurant opening.
