The team behind high end French-inspired concept Bob Bob Ricard is to open a new casual restaurant in Soho next month.

Bébé Bob will specialise in rotisserie chicken alongside affordable wines and champagnes, representing a new direction for the restaurant group.

The news comes after the group announced “strong expansion” plans after it obtained additional growth capital funding – a seven-figure sum – from alternative lender ThinCats in August 2022.

The menu at Bébé Bob will showcase two varieties of rotisserie chicken as well as caviar, blinis made at the table, French desserts, and a short wine list – albeit without Bob Bob Ricard’s signature ‘press for champagne’ buttons.

The new venue will have an art deco theme similar to the original, along with a separate 12-seater circular bar space.

It will add to the group’s existing portfolio, which comprises two Bob Bob Ricard restaurants in Soho and the City.

Founder Leonid Shutov said: “To open Bébé Bob during our 15th year is a very special moment.

“We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to our brand new single concept dining experience, where delicious food, excellent fine wines and champagne are the order of the day.”

Bob Bob Ricard is also due to open a site in Tokyo this year.
