Bistrot Pierre, the highly-rated French restaurant chain, has opened its latest site in Bath.

Heading up the new 90-cover bistrot are Hinde Bouchayeb, (general manager) and Frederic Fetiveau, (head chef). Originally from southern France, Hinde joined Bistrot Pierre in 2012 and has progressed through the group’s internal training programme, beginning as a waitress and working her way up to general manager.

Co-founder Robert Beacham said: “We are very excited to open the doors in Bath. Bistrot Pierre is passionate about great food and enjoying yourself in a vibrant bistrot atmosphere. We think the people of Bath will love what we have to offer.”

The menu features French classics such as steak-frites, boeuf bourguignon and crème brûlée, as well as lighter bistrot dishes, and is open daily for lunch and dinner, and for breakfast at weekends.

There will also be a range of regular events. Soirée Gastronomique evenings will give customers the chance to try provincial French dishes they may not normally try (six courses for £22.95), whilst Dine with Wine evenings pair courses with wine and offer a great opportunity to experience French culture and their love of food and wine.

The company recently secured an opening in Swansea as it looks to grow its 2016 openings pipeline.

The 13-strong group has lined up an opening alongside Prezzo and Loungers at the Oyster Wharf development, which is set to come online in the Mumbles area of the city early next year.

The company, which is thought will explore future funding options later this year, will open in Bath next month and in Newport in November

It has a further site in Birmingham secured for next year.
