Bill’s, the Richard Caring-backed restaurant chain, has secured its first site in Scotland, M&C Report understands.

The 38-strong group, which has a further four sites set to come on line over the coming months, is understood to have exchanged on a unit next to the recently opened Las Iguanas in Glasgow’s West Nile Street.

The company, which will open in Manchester and Epsom next month, is also believed to have exchanged on a site in Cheltenham.

The group recently secured the Diva unit in York’s Coney Street for an opening this summer and has also exchanged on a site opposite the Hilton hotel at Liverpool One.

The company, which is on target to open 25 restaurants this year, has also secured a site in Market Place, Newbury and the Chimichanga site in Farnham, Surrey and will open further sites in  Camberley and Marlow over the coming months.

It is also thought to be eyeing opportunities in Leeds, Watford and Taunton.

The group, which recently opened in Norwich and Nottingham, has already secured a unit at the John Lewis scheme in Chelmsford for an opening in 2015.
