Stephen King has stepped down at finance director of Corrett Restaurants, operator of the Big Easy brand and Clos Maggiore restaurant, to join luxury goods company Ralph & Russo.

He leaves the company after a year in which it opened its second Big Easy site in Covent Garden and appointed Mitchells & Butlers veteran Noel Darcy as managing director, as it gears up for expansion.

Darcy, who is currently retail operations director at M&B, will join the Paul Corrett-led American dining concept next month

Big Easy secured a third unit in Canary Wharf in 2013, which is set to open as part of the Crossrail redevelopment later this year.

The company was in talks over the Brown’s site in Islington but withdrew from the race for the site, which has since been secured by Corbin & King.
