Jamie Barber, the restaurateur behind the Cabana chain, has confirmed plans to launch a second smaller version of its Hush restaurant concept in London’s St Pauls.

It follows the opening of Hush Brasserie, Holborn, in June, which was a smaller version of Hush in Mayfair.

The new 3,500 square foot, 140 cover restaurant will be based in AXA Real Estate’s 1 St Pauls development, which will also feature 60,000 square feet of offices. Work begins on the restaurant in March, with a view to open in summer 2013.

Barber: “This is a very special site, overlooking the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral and I’m very excited to be bringing a touch of Hush to the City.”

The St Pauls menu will offer brasserie classics and will be open all day as well as offering breakfast and high tea.
