South East Asian concept Mamasan is due to launch its second site, in Liverpool.

Founded by Brad Stevens, who is also behind brands Bar Soba and Pizza Punks, Mamasan opened its first site in Glasgow’s city centre last year.

Located in Liverpool One – the city’s Grosvenor-owned shopping centre – the new 200-cover, 6,875 sq ft, restaurant will open once national lockdown restrictions are eased.

Focused on elevated dining, drinks and music, the restaurant will serve a South East Asian inspired menu in a brasserie-style setting with indoor, outdoor and bar capabilities.

“With nationally-established names such as Bar Soba and Pizza Punks already under my belt, I am looking forward to now turning my attention to expanding the unique Mamasan concept,” said Stevens. “The gap in the market for this kind of experiential dining in Liverpool, combined with the discovery of this attractive and versatile space at Liverpool ONE, made this an opportunity too good to pass up.

“It’s been great to have Grosvenor’s support in adapting and preparing Mamasan’s concept for Liverpool One, and we can’t wait to open and deliver the best in elevated South East Asian inspired dining.”

Metis and Savills acted for Liverpool ONE. Pudney Shuttleworth represented Mamasan.
