Burger & Lobster, the London-based group, has secured a former Orchid Pub Company site in the City, M&C Report understands.

The group, which recently secured its first regional sites in Manchester and Cardiff, is believed to have exchanged on the Pacific Oriental site in Threadneedle Street.

The site was part of Orchid’s Oriental Restaurant Group, which was part of the company that was placed into administration earlier this year.

Burger & Lobster, which will open in Manchester before the end of the year, recently secured Unit 2, 9-11 The Hayes in the city for an opening this year.

The six-strong group is also understood to be in talks on sites in Leeds and Liverpool for openings in 2015.

The company is also looking to open further sites in the capital and is understood to be in talks to secure the Via Fossa site in the Port East Building, West India Quay.
