Burger & Lobster, the Goodman-owned London-based group, has appointed former Drake & Morgan employee Gabi Clipp as its first head of people.

Clipp joins the fast-growing group after a year in the same role at Drake & Morgan, the Bowmark Capital-backed group.

Clipp, who was also a HR manager at Novus, is the former human resources manager at Nobu Restaurants and has had stints at Ignite Group and D&D Restaurants.

Burger & Lobster recently opened on the former Pacific Oriental site in Threadneedle Street in the city, which became its first restaurant to offer breakfast.

The fast-expanding is understood to have sites lined up in Leeds, Manchester and Bath after opening in Cardiff earlier this year to grow its estate away from the capital.

The company, which launched internationally in New York last year, will open in Stockholm this month as part of a collaboration with the Swedish-based group Pontus Frithiof and Thomas Dahlstedt.

It has also signed a franchise deal to open in the Middle East by the end of the year.
