Aubaine, the French restaurant and patisserie concept, is looking for a new site in Manchester, as its agreement to operate in the city’s Selfridges nears an end.

It is thought that San Carlo, the family-run Italian restaurant chain, could be set to take the space occupied in the city’s Exchange Square building.

The nine-strong group, which is led by Hani Nakkash, is in the process of securing a further site in London and is also looking at a further unit in the Home Counties.

The company will opened its eighth site in London later this autumn, after taking a unit in Marylebone High Street. It has secured the former Shoon unit behind LK Bennett.

Earlier this year, the group opened its latest site in the capital in Hampstead.
