Aubaine, the London-based French restaurant, boulangerie and patisserie concept, has lined up its first opening of 2017, with a site in South Kensington, MCA understands.

The group, which currently operates 10 restaurants across London and two in Dubai, has secured the unit on the ground floor of the Institute Francais in Queensberry Place for an opening in January.

It will replace the Le Bistrot site in the building.

Founder Hani Nakkash told MCA that the group was exploring further opportunities for an opening in Q2 of next year.

The group launched its first site under a new deli concept in Covent Garden Piazza earlier this year.

The menu at the Deli concept changes seasonally and offers a range of products freshly made in Aubaine’s bakery including new products from the company’s signature boulangerie and viennoiserie range, sandwiches made from its own breads, authentic French breakfast dishes alongside salads and sharing boards.
