Asia de Cuba, the Chino-Latino dining room within London’s St Martin’s Hotel, is to close after 20 years.

It comes ahead of a planned shake-up of food and beverage at the hotel by its US-based owner SBE Entertainment Group, according to MCA’s sister title BigHospitality.

From 1 March Asia de Cuba will replaced by a temporary pop-up serving “Asian-inspired dishes”, exploring the cuisine of Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, but will ultimately be replaced by “one of the highly successful brands” from within SBE’s stable.
