Amigos Burgers & Shakes is set to expand across the UK, with plans for 100 sites in the next five years.

The casual-dining burger brand is now looking for franchise partners to help it reach this goal, currently operating across 19 locations in London and a site in Slough.

Founded in Acton in 2011 by Kasim Akhter and Waqas Siddique Amigos, the brand now has a further eight sites planned for Birmingham.

It says expansion is being driven by “increased demand from franchisees” with “potential new locations being discussed for cities up and down the country”

The hope is that by growing the chain’s presence across the UK, it can become the new “go-to location for people who want a quality burger”.

With years of experience in the food industry, the brand’s team is dedicated to crafting an ‘innovative and approachable’ dining experience which aims to stand out in London’s busy food scene.

Last month, it announced a significant milestone in the brand’s growth journey, appointing Nil Naik as franchise consultant director.

A spokesperson from Amigos said, “We’re incredibly proud of our brand’s growth over the years to become one of London’s most loved independent food outlets. Now our goal is to showcase what’s made us so popular to the rest of the UK.

“We hope this expansion will allow Amigos to be spoken about in the same conversation as the biggest names in the burger industry.”
