7Bone Burger Co, the Kings Park Capital backed concept, has pulled out of proposed opening in Derby.

The brand, which currently operates nine sites around the South Coast, had applied to turn a former Boots store, in Victoria Street, into a restaurant, but the application was pulled after a bid to acquire the property fell through.

It would have been 7Bone’s first site outside its South coast base.

The group’s board members include Derek Woodcock, former finance director at Nando’s and Scott Lloyd, the former chief executive of David Lloyd Leisure.

Last year, the company told MCA that it had built a pipeline of six openings across the South of England which would be coming online “fairly quickly”.
