Cabana, the Jamie Barber-led Brasilian barbecue restaurant chain, is launching a new all-day Brasilian brunch in its Islington and Brixton branches.
The 10-strong group said that the new brunches, which include bottomless tropical Bellinis and “Bloody Marias”, will run every Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 4pm.
The menu will feature an assortment of “brunch classics with a Latino accent”, such as Rabanadas, Brasilian French toast with condensed milk, cinnamon sugar and chocolate, and the Açai Smoothie Bowl, frozen açai berry smoothie topped with sliced strawberries, bananas and crunchy granola.
For an additional £14.95, all can be enjoyed “bottomless” with a selection of tropical Bellinis (think mango, passion fruit and pineapple) or Bloody Marias, the Brasilian Bloody Mary made with cachaça and homemade Bloody Mary Mix. For those who can’t quite face hair of the dog, there’s an array of freshly made “Refresco” soft drinks and “Batidos” smoothies to revive them.
Head of marketing Lizzy Barber said: “We have seen the rise in bottomless brunch offerings over the last couple of years and have always thought it would be the perfect fit for Cabana: Brasil’s all-day dining culture (and penchant for a drink or two) lends itself to lazy, hazy weekend feasting, and our two neighbourhood sites are the ideal locations to introduce this to a very local, engaged community.”
The company recently launch a beach pop-up on London’s South Bank to celebrate the upcoming Rio Olympics. The #RoadToRio party at the CopaCabana Brasilian beach will operate through until the end of September.
