Sam and Eddie Hart’s Barrafina in Adelaide Street, London, was last night named best restaurant at the annual Observer Food Monthly Awards.
The best cheap eats award went to Padella in Borough Market, whilst Soho’s Blacklock collect the best Sunday lunch title.
The best ethical restaurant award went to Silo in Brighton, whilst the best place to drink award went to Bar Termini in Soho.
A lifetime achievement award was presented to Pierre Koffmann, whilst Anglo in Farringdon was named best newcomer in food and drink.
Daniel Smith from The Clove Club was named young chef of the year.
