The duo behind Brixton cocktail bar Shrub and Shutter are to open a new concept in South London, which they hope to grow to ten sites in London over the next five years.
Chris Edwards and Dave Tregenza, who also run a cocktail consultancy Salts of the Earth ltd, have launched a crowdfunding drive to raise £30,000 to launch First Aid Box.
They describe it as “an all-day cafe, cocktail bar, snack bar and restaurant” adding “the concept will also be community based and we will be supporting local charities, colleges and suppliers with events, training, jobs and driving business”.
The pitch says: “The concept itself revolves around freshness, healthy eating and beneficial drinks. our ethos will be centred around innovation and evolving every day. Food and drink inspiration will be taken from all corners of the globe.
“With support for contributors we would be able to launch a brand and roll out the concept. Our dream is roll out 10 in London in the next five years.”
The funds are needed for front rent, refurbishment, equipment, marketing and stock.
