Young’s has promoted director of retail operations, Peter Taylor, to the new role of head of operations, MCA has learnt.

The move, which takes effect from 1 April, coincides with the departure of Andy Nash, who was in the same role as Taylor.

The company now plans to recruit two more director of retail operations to join Steve Gallagher, who remains in that role.

It follows several changes to the management team since Patrick Dardis succeeded Steve Goodyear as chief executive last July.

Taylor has worked for Young’s since 2010 after joining from the Compass Group.

A spokesperson for Young’s said: “We are delighted to confirm that Peter Taylor has been promoted to the new role of Head of Operations, with effect from 1st April 2017, and that we are in the process of appointing two further Directors of Retail Operations to join existing Director of Retail Operations, Steve Gallagher. After eight years with Young’s, our Director of Retail Operations, Andy Nash, will be leaving us to pursue new ventures. We are very grateful to Andy for all his hard work over the years and wish him all the best for the future.”
