Wright & Bell managing director Jayne Baker has left the Imbiba-backed concept, MCA has learnt.
She is to be replaced by Sarah (Reid) Clark, formerly retail director of Vintage Inns for Mitchells & Butlers and head of city operations for Pret A Manger.
Baker, also a former retail director at M&B, founded the Kitty Hawk operator with Imbiba in October 2015. The company told MCA that she had decided to leave the business and explore new avenues, utilising her operations and human resource management expertise. Imbiba stressed that the parting was on “very positive terms”.
It said: “The board of Wright & Bell has decided to put in place a strong management and operations team to develop the business further, continue to open new sites and build on what has proved to be a very dynamic multi-format offer.”
Imbiba chairman John Connell said: “The Kitty Hawk is an excellent concept and exciting format. We are very pleased to have Sarah join and develop a dynamic management team as we continue to implement our growth plans.”
