Wadworth Brewery is launching its first dedicated carvery concept opening in Wiltshire early next month. The Pheasant Carvery Pub & Dining in Chippenham could be the first of several carvery-led outlets for Wadworth. It is thought that the company has invested close to £250,000 on the site. A spokesman said brewery bosses “are open to the idea — based on the success of this launch”. The Pheasant will hold 125 covers with carvery prices at £5.95 Monday to Saturday and £7.95 for a full carvery meal on Sundays. “The carvery will offer a comprehensive selection of British meat and vegetables as well as a salad bar for those wanting a lighter option,” said the spokesman. “There will also be separate menus available. “The reasons behind introducing a carvery concept was that it delivers a value food offering to Chippenham in an already popular venue. The venue will offer fresh home cooked food providing quality and speed which will be great for lunch time, as well as evening, dining. The focus is on British produce and locally sourced foods where possible.” Richard Jennings will manage the Pheasant with Abi Patten-Hall taking charge in the kitchen.
