Urban Pubs & Bars, the group led by Realpubs founders Nick Pring and Malcom Heap, has lined up its sixth site in London, and second in Hackney, M&C Report understands

The company, which secured its first sites last year, has applied to re-open the former Palmerston Arms in Well Street as a pub. The site currently trades as a hairdressers.

The group already operates the Old Ship in the area.

The company opened its latest site, the Wheatsheaf in Tooting, South London, earlier this year.

It is looking to grow an estate of up to 20 sites across central London and the capital’s ‘urban villages’ over the next four years through the acquisition of further quality leasehold or freehold pubs, capable of achieving weekly sales in excess of £20,000.
