Leisure entrepreneur Trevor Hemmings, who owns Blackpool Tower, wants to buy 365 tenanted pubs from Scottish and Newcastle for about £120m. He is believed to be considering selling part of his stake in Arena Leisure racecourse business to fund the acquisition into his Pub Estate Company, which currently owns around 500 outlets.
