Town & Country Inns is to invest £10m in expanding its ski-lodge inspired Apres bar brand into 13 new sites throughout the country. The company has appointed Colliers CRE, the property agents, to find freehold and leasehold sites between 3,500 sq ft and 8,000 sq ft in locations including Chester, Oxford, Cheltenham, Reading, Nottingham and Bristol. Town & Country, which opened its first Apres bar in Birmingham in 2003, has announced it will open its fifth outlet next week in Solihull, after completing a £1m investment in the site. The launch of the Solihull site follows the launch of three Apres bars across the Midlands in 2005. Keith William, chairman, said: “After two years of operation in Birmingham, it became apparent that the Apres concept had the potential to become a marketable brand which could be rolled out without any significant complications. “We have earmarked several key locations for the roll out of Apres and we look forward to an unprecedented year of expansion.”
